CINCINNATI — A lot of fans will be seeing and buying Red this weekend.
The Reds, in partnership with Nike, Major League Baseball and Fanatics, today unveiled their newest City Connect uniform, which will debut on-field on Saturday against the Angels at Great American Ball Park.
This new Cincinnati Reds Nike MLB City Connect uniform is an evolution of the inaugural version, blending aspects of the club’s traditional identity in a renewed style that incorporates the best elements from the first City Connect edition that debuted in 2023.
The uniforms feature red Nike jerseys and pants accented by dark red piping and sleeves, black numbers, white lettering and red Stance socks. A red New Era cap, which also features pinstripes, showcases the stylized “C” logo.
“Red is at the center of this next chapter in our City Connect story,” said Karen Forgus Bowman, Reds Chief Communications and Community Officer. “Bringing it forward in this fresh new way speaks to the energy of today’s players and fans being rooted in the eras of Reds baseball that continue through them.”
Features of the new Nike MLB City Connect uniforms include:
• Pinstripes as a classic element in a modernized tone-on-tone style, a perennial favorite among both Reds fans and players alike.
• The sleeve in this City Connect uniform as a darker shade of red, and the jersey’s pinstripes are intentionally cut off at the shoulder, a nod to the popular vest-style jersey last worn by the Reds two decades ago.
• A sleeve graphic features the Tyler Davidson Fountain that serves as the heart of the city and begins flowing each year around Opening Day.
Reds players will wear the new Nike City Connect uniforms at Saturday home games. Due to its popularity amongst players and fans, the City Connect 1.0 black uniform will continue to be worn at Friday home games.
Fans will be able to see “City Connect Weekends” beginning tonight and Saturday.
Official merchandise for both uniforms in the Nike City Connect series are available now at the Reds Team Shop at Great American Ball Park. Official merchandise is also available at nike.com, mlbshop.com, fanatics.com and select retail locations.
Nike and MLB created the City Connect program in 2021 to celebrate the bond between each club and its city. The uniform series explores the personality, values and customs that make each community and their fans unique.
